October Wood Event

A big thanks goes out to Dennis for hosting a wood event on October 7th. We had wood, tools, a demo, and lunch! What more could a turner ask for? Just one of the many reasons to be a part of the club. Thanks to all who helped make it happen, and thanks to Angela for the pictures.

The SVW Board bestows "Lifetime Member" honor on John Whittier

At SVW "Lifetime Member" is an honor bestowed on just a select few whom the club looks upto with high regards. John Whittier has been a valuable member almost from the time of inception of the organization. He has made significant contributions to the organization over the years that has shaped the club to what it is today. To show our appreciation for his exceptional service, dedication, mentoring and leadership, the board unanimously approved making John a "Lifetime Member". Please join us in congratulating and thanking John for his exceptional service and guidance to the club.

SVW Election on November 4th @ 7:00 PM

Our annual election of office bearers is on November 4th during our general meeting. Please plan on attending our Zoom meeting on that day. The current board has agreed to serve another year if elected. But any member of the club can vie in for any of the 4 positions (president, vice president, secretary and treasurer) if you so desire. Mike Lanahan is our election committee chair and please contact him if you wish to run for office. The election itself will happen online during the meeting through a voting process that Mike has tested out and mastered.
