At SVW we like to have fun. Literally. We like to make and play with Tops. It brings back childhood memories for a lot of us. What is the fun in tops, you ask? The answer is, you will never know until you make and play with one. We have a tradition of having a top night every year. For centuries (or at least as far back as we can remember) we have had a top making and spinning competition. The winners usually walk away with a sugary substance wrapped in plastic or foil (the type that we throw away in a trash can after consuming the sugary substance). We have different categories, small top, big top, upside down top, top that spins the longest, colorful top,... Though different people win the different categories each year, Glenn Krueg is our perennial tiny top winner.

Breaking News: Oct 14, 2020
Just received a message from Roman C. that the second Wednesday of October is International Top Spinning Day. We are continuing on a tradition started by cavemen more than 6000 years ago. It is engrained in our DNA that we shall spin tops.
